Plus, studies have proven that the slower you lose weight, the better chance you have of keeping the weight off.

Moisturize Daily

When you are losing weight moisturizing your skin every day is great because it helps it to maintain elasticity as your body shrinks.

Moisturize at Night

When you apply moisturizer to your body at night, the time when your body has the most hours to recuperate and heal, wearing long sleeved pajamas will help to seal the moisture in all night.

Exfoliate your Skin

Using a loofah or some sort of body scrub twice a day to exfoliate will help tighten any loose skin caused by weight loss.

Drink Water

Drinking eight glasses of water a day will secure moisture in the skin. Water also flushes toxins out of your skin which leaves it feeling and looking healthy.

Lift Weights

Lifting weights during weight loss is very important to keep skin tight. Replacing fat with muscle helps to make the skin to appear tightened around the muscle mass when you lift weights.

Exercise Frequently

Yes, I know lifting weights is usually considered exercising but I’m talking about sit-ups, squats, lunges, push-ups, running, etc. Exercise builds muscles that plumps the skin from the inside making the skin appear tighter.


Crunches are one of the most effective exercises for tightening abs.

Tighten Your Stomach Muscles

Pull your muscles in while you’re driving in the car, playing video games, watching a movie, or even sitting at your desk. Tighten your stomach muscles and hold them in for a couple of minutes then release.

Don’t Eat Sweets
